More Firsts.

Sooooo, Arle’s New Mexico adventure didn’t stop at breeding cows and camping.

No, siree.

She got to experience the fabulous little mountain town of Ruidoso for her first time.  Ruidoso is three hours from Lovington and a place near and dear to my heart.  It’s where I learned how to snow ski and how to kick booty on the go-cart track.

You do NOT want to mess with me on a go-cart track.

I have so many memories of time spent in Ruidoso and love that Arle will have the same.

A first for Miss while there…fishing.

This girlie-girl is so much braver than I am and than I ever expected her to be.  The minute she caught her first fish, she wanted to eat it.

Evidently she felt sorry for the poor little guy, so she let him suck on her finger for comfort.  Gross.

Even grosser, though, is that after she and Lebo opened this jar of fat, juicy, orange fish eggs for bait:

Travis caught her eating one.  Gag.  Gag.  Gag.

It really is a good thing I wasn’t there.

Later that day, we drove up to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.  Sounds kind of creepy, I know, but it’s actually a gorgeous resort nestled up in the mountains on an amazing lake.

Here are some shots of Trav, Arle, my Dad, my Mother, and my sister, Alexis.

I heart my family.

The pics of Arle fishing cracked me up. I showed Mat and he loved the one of Arle using her finger to “calm” the fish=) What a cutie!! And yes, your pictures are fantastic!

tell arle i will never shake her hand again, as a fish sucked on her finger. not that we have ever “shaken hands” or anything.

arle will have some great memories of that trip!
