Happy Mother’s Day

Ever since Arle was born, Mother’s Day is a bit emotional for me.

Not just because I’m now a mother myself, but because it always makes me think of  Arle’s birth-mother and what this day must be like for her.

I have seen how much she loves the daughter we share.

I have seen the incredible sacrifice she made in the hospital the day she held our baby in her arms and referred to Travis and me as Daddy and Mommy.

Over the last three years, I’ve seen the incredible strength she has when she visits us and is able to continue loving Arle as her own, even though she has to get in the car and leave her again.

I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult this entire process has been for her, but I’m so incredibly grateful for the selflessness, sacrifice, grace, and strength she continually pours out on our family.

She is an amazing birth-mother to Arle, and Arle loves her dearly. So do we.

Happy Mother’s Day.

So I’m sitting at work at my desk and my friend who works with me sends me a chat message, “Heather made me cry this morning….have you read Momdiggity yet this morning?” I hadn’t, so I quickly signed on to see what it was all about. Heather, that was an amazing post and I agree with ALL the other posts above. What more is there to say. I’m now having trouble seeing my computer with all these tears. We love you!

Arle was known by God before she was ever in her mother’s womb and was so loved by Him that He blessed her with a double portion. Incredible women she has in her life as examples of grace, love and generosity. It is exciting to see her life unfold and to watch her become who He created her to be in His Kingdom. I love you more than I could ever say and am so proud of the Mother you are. You are amazing, my darling. Love.

Have mercy! You are all making me cry! Heather, you are the most gracious person I know. Your kindness & acceptance is such a gift and God had used to bless all of those around you. Arle does have a double blessing & God knew that you & Trav were just the right parents to teach her about it!
