A Few Thoughts

1.  Thanks to all of you for your prayers and encouragement with the baby stuff.  I do know that God is 100% faithful and that he has a plan.  Arle is a daily reminder of that fact.  I never in a million years could have dreamed up the way in which He brought her into our lives and am so excited to see how he brings our next child into our family.

2.  I loved hearing all your feedback about the bed!  Right now, I’m leaning towards aqua.  I’m just not a matchy-matchy furniture girl.  I’m intrigued by the whole black scenario that Kim threw into the ring but am afraid it would be too much black, as the bed is pretty big (even though it’s just a twin).  I definitely haven’t made the final decision on the paint, but will by the end of this weekend.  My goal is to have it painted and set up by next weekend.  Pictures will follow.

3.  I did a closet consultation yesterday.  It was the first one I’ve done in a long time and  I felt a bit rusty, but had so much fun!  The best part was that we were putting together spring outfits for our client and it gave me hope that there’s a light at the end of this cold and snowy tunnel.  I want to go shopping but feel like a total chub and refuse to buy anything until I drop some lbs.

4.  Because I feel like a total chub and realize that I’m going to be staring the pool in the face in just a couple of months, I’ve started working out again this week.  My friend, Jessie and I have been meeting at the gym at 5:45 in the morning.

Ouch.  It hurts.

The getting up at 5:45, that is.

The first morning we met, I asked Trav to set the alarm for 5:15 a.m.  Ick.  At 2:15 a.m. Arle woke up crying, so I went down and tucked her back in, but then couldn’t get back to sleep for a while.  I finally dozed off just before I heard the alarm go off.

Trav reached over to turn it off and I considered snoozing for 10 minutes, but decided not to.  I was so stinkin’ tired, so I got up and splashed cold water on my face to really wake myself up.

I got dressed and started to walk out the door when Trav suddenly looked up at me and asked what I was doing.

“Going to work out,” I said.

“It’s 3:20 in the morning,” he said.

“What!!!???” I shrieked, looked at the clock, and realized he was right.

I totally dreamed the whole thing about the alarm and him turning it off.

I changed clothes got back in bed and laid there wide awake until it really did go off at 5:15.

I was one grumpy worker-outer.

5.  We’re having a date night tonight!  Wahoo!  We’re going to go eat some yummy tapas at La Bodega with our super fun neighbors, Bob and Adriane.  I’ll think of you as I sip Sangria and nibble on all sorts of deliciousness.

    MY thoughts for YOU:
-I want a closet consult!! What do I do?
-Way to go working out!! I am impressed and miss my morning workouts like crazy. (If you see me and my white blimpo body this summer at the pool – you will feel WAY better about yourself…maybe even enough to quit working out.)
-Love the bed idea! I think it’ll look really fun=)

That’s all for now… oh and maybe a starbucks date soon?

Love all the updates – can’t wait to see Arle’s big girl room when you get it finished. I actually laughed out loud at the alarm clock sequence. I’m totally impressed you would get up at 5:15 to go work out. Wish I had that kind of discipline. See you all in a few weeks.

3 words: Zumba – Kettle bells.
The 1st one has changed my life.
The 2nd one I (we: R and T, too) just started last week.
Not bad for the oldest gal in the class(es), huh?
I love Zumba so much I’d go everyday.
Can’t make that early a.m. deal, tho. I’m an evening worker-outer.
    You go, girl!

Okay, Heather, I was laughing out loud SO HARD about the alarm dream my kids were like, “What is so funny, Mom?” I tried to explain but it didn’t have the same effect! Love you! And, I’ll take a closet consultation. Do you do road trips? :)
