Go Fly A Kite

Arle’s creative mind has really been growing, lately.  She is playing “make believe” more and more and it’s so much fun to see what she comes up with all on her own.  She came home from Nordstrom with a balloon one day, and decided that it was her “kite.”  She would run around the house with it trailing behind her and saying, “I flyin’ my kite!  I flyin’ my kite!”

While wandering the aisles of Target recently, Arle spotted the real kites.  They were on super-duper sale, so I tossed one in the cart.  That evening after dinner, we headed to the park for the kite’s virgin voyage.  She thought the whole thing was pretty fabulous…for about three minutes.  Honestly, the balloon kite provided much more entertainment than the real thing, but I got some cute pics anyway.

Don’t you wish we could live life as freely as we once did at that age? Lovely!
